The pink dandelion is a Central Asian native herb related to the common yellow dandelion. Unlike the familiar yellow blooms, this variety only has a buttery yellow center surrounded by a ring of pink edges.

Pink dandelions are easy to grow in containers or as a ground cover along garden edges. They provide a cheery addition to any garden, and will attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Like other dandelion varieties, the entire plant is edible, but is said to be less bitter than the yellow variety. The greens can be eaten like arugula and the roots can be roasted to make a traditional coffee substitute.
