Brahmi is a small green herb used traditionally in Aruvedic medicine to increase mental clarity, brain function, memory, and to promote a balanced emotional state. The leaves are small, succulent, and as with many powerful medicinal herbs, intensely bitter.
This plant is not to be confused with Centella asiatica (gotu kola), which is a different ayurvedic herb also known sometimes as “Brahmi” because of its similar uses.
