A favorite folk medicine plant used to treat burns, bites, inflammation, and many other ailments. The fleshy interior of the leaves can be consumed but has a slightly bitter taste, but is considered by many to be a health food.
Growth Form/Defining Characteristics: Grows from central rosette , 1-3’ high 1-2 ‘ wide. Pups out into clusters when mature.
Light: Full Shade if outside. Can also grow on a bright windowsill
Water: Twice a week outdoors, once a every two weeks indoors
Soil: Well-drained
